Tea is a caffeinated beverage, made by decoction, infusion, or percolation of the dried leaves or buds of the shrub Camellia sinensis with hot water. In addition, tea may also include other herbs, spices, or fruit flavours. Although many tisanes are improperly called "tea", all true teas are made from the C. sinensis plant. For tisanes, see.
