Ding Gu Da Fang (丁顾大方) is a green tea grown in Huangshan. The tea is named after Da Fang, a buddhist monk who lived in the Tempel on the peak of Mt. Lao Zhu.
Ding Gu Da Fang resembles Long Jing in look and taste. Thus due to similar production methods which involves roasting in iron pans. Compared to Lon Jing are for Ding Gu Da Fang higher roasting temperatures used. This gives the tea more toasty flavors and the leaves have brown roasting spots
As Fenghuang is located at higher altitude then Hangzhou the first harvest of Ding Gu Da Fang is a bit later then the same for Long Jing.
