Huang Guanyin is a new developed Wuyi oolong. This cultivar was introduced in the year 2003 the by Fujian Tea Research Institute in the Wuyi mountains. Huang Guan Yin, which literally means "Yellow Goddess of Mercy", is a cross between two famous cultivars; Huang Jin Gui and Tie Guanyin. Different to most other Wuyi teas Huang Guan Yin is only light roasted over charcoal. Other common Names for Huang Guan Yin are Yellow Goddess of Mercy or simply no.105.
