Jeoncha

Jeoncha is a special Korean green tea. It's similar to Japanese Sencha in look and taste as it is produced with the same method. For producing Jeoncha is the traditional Japanese techniques of steaming and then rolling the tea leaves into needle form used. In contrary to Jeoncha other Korean tea also roasted.

Growing Areas

  • Boseong in Jeollanam-do province is the biggest growing area.
  • Hadong in Gyeongsangnam-do provincei is the oldest growing area. A majority of the tea here is still hand picked.
  • Jeju island
