Woojeon ist ein hochwertiger, grüner Tee aus Korea. Er ist allererste Ernte eines First Flush und ist somit vergleichbar mit dem japanischen Shincha. Woojeon wird noch vor dem Monsoon geerntet und wird deshalb auch oft als Ujeon (우전), was soviel wie "vor dem Regen" heisst, bezeichnet.

Woojeon tea

Woojeon (우전) is a extrordinary Korean green tea. It's like Japanese Shincha the earliest possible First Flush. Woojeon is picked before Monsoon thus the name means translated "before rain".

Growing Areas

  • Boseong in Jeollanam-do province is the biggest growing area.
  • Hadong in Gyeongsangnam-do provincei is the oldest growing area. A majority of the tea here is still hand picked.
  • Jeju island
