Karkade (Arabic كركديه, scientific Hibiscus sabdariffa L., English: Roselle) is the Arabic name for a plant species and the mallow tea made from it with an intense red colour. Karkade is a popular drink in Egypt and Sudan and is drunk hot or cold.
