Dobin is a large teapot with a bamboo, rattan or wooden handle on the top. Originally, Dobin teapots where used as kettles for boiling water and also to brew medicinal herbs. Nowadays, Dobin teapots are also used to brew tea. They are convenient for brewing a large quantity of tea for several guests, or to brew one large pot of tea to drink all day long. Most Dobin teapots have rough ceramics filter or removable basket filter.
