Flowering tea or blooming tea (Chinese: 香片, 工艺茶, or 开花茶) is made of dried tea leaves, mostly green or white tea, which are wrapped around dried flowers. These is made by binding tea leaves and flowers together into a bulb and are then set to dry. While steeped, the bundle expands and unfurls in a process that emulates a blooming flower and the flowers inside emerge as the centerpiece. Globe amaranth, chrysanthemum, jasmine, lily, hibiscus and osmanthus are commonly used for flowering tea.

Blooming tea is usually used for special events or as a gift. The tea is generally served in pots or cups made of glass so that the flowering effect is visible.
