Haiwan Tea Factory (海湾茶厂) is a relatively new company. It was established in 1999 by Mr. Zou Bing Liang and Ms. Lu Guoling. Mr. Bing Liang was the former manager of Menghai Tea Factory and significantly involved in the development of ripe puer at the Menghai Tea Factory.
Haiwan Tea Factory uses only high-grade tea leaves for their products and focus the high-quality market. The main processing site is in Aning but there is also a factory in Menghai. The produced teas are mainly bing but also brick, tuo and even tea bags. Usually it's indicated by the packaging color whether it is shu (red), or shen (green) puer.
