Hwangcha (황차/黃茶/yellow tea) is a variety of camellia sinensis tea produced in Korea. Similar to Chinese yellow tea, Korean hwangcha is slightly more oxidized than green tea.

However, Korean yellow tea differs from Chinese yellow tea by virtue of the fact it can be produced in a way more similar to Oolong tea or in some cases even black tea in terms of its oxidation levels. The tea liquor is yellow and the flavor and aromas are said to be bright, sweet, and floral.
