Jakseol(잭설/雀舌) is a type of hong cha (홍차) or black tea produced in Korea. Jaekseol black tea is produced in Hadong County in South Gyeongsang province. Hadong is one of South Korea’s three largest and most well-known tea production areas with the others being the various farms on Jeju island and Boseong county found in Jeolla province.

The leaves of jaekseol tea are usually dark green or black with a greenish tinge. The tea liquor is an amber-red color. The taste of jaekseol is said to be sweet and clean tasting.
