Oolong Beauty Queen

Oriental Beauty (東方美人) is one of the most famous Oolong teas. The tea is also well known as "Dong Fang Mei Ren", the the Chinese pronunciation of "Oriental Beauty". This oolong has a particularly fruity and rich body with muscatel notes caused by bites of cicadas. The teas liquor is quiet dark due to the high oxidation of about 70%.

Production areas

Although Oriental Beauty originated in Taiwan (this why it#s also called Formosa Oolong) it's nowadays produced in many tea growing regions, partly with different names.
