Konacha (粉茶), traslated as (powder tea) is a Japanese green tea composed of leftovers from gyokuro or sencha production. Due to small tea leaf pieces konacha brews quicker than whole leaf tea like sencha or bancha. The liquor has an intense green color and a strong taste. As konacha is cheaper than sencha it is often complementary served at sushi restaurants.
