Catechins are found in many plants such as black tea or cocoa where they contribute in conjunction with other polyphenols to flavor formation. Catechins are also found in many vegetables and fruits like apples, apricots, pears, blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, peaches, plums, quinces, cherries, gooseberries and grapes.
