Shoumei is a white tea made of the "Da Bai" variety of Camellia sinensis. It is grown mainly in the provinces of Fujian and Guangxi in China. Because shoumei is harvested later than Bai Mudan, the tea's liquor a slightly darker in color than Bai Mudan and stronger in taste. The infusion is golden yellow and thus darker than other white teas. Shoumei tea is regarded as tea of the fourth grade.
